Merge Plane - Best Idle Game

Merge Plane - Best Idle Game

Review

We’ve got through Idle Miner Tycoon, Taps to Riches, and 2048 – and now it’s Merge Plane, one more idle game that somewhat combines the features of mentioned ones. Now, you don’t have to just tap – it’s better to have some good strategy to be on the game like the mom from the ads. You’ve seen the Merge Plane ad, right?

Graphics and Sound 4/5

The graphics aren’t that elaborate, but it’s an idle game after all. They’re bright and colorful, and there are various planes with their unique features. More advanced planes are faster, and they give you more money, but it’s not so easy to get them. For instance, I’ve got the 11th plane only the second day of playing the game.

The sound and visual effects enhance the gaming process, making it amusing and even relaxing to some extent. At least, I sometimes use Merge Plane to get my mind off the troubles of the adult world :) On the other hand, planes are moving faster and faster as you’re making progress in the game. To some people, this may feel dizzy or nauseating, so be careful.

Story Plot 4/5

Since it’s an idle game, there is not so much of a storyline. You’re a future tycoon, and all you have to do to build your airline empire is to constantly improve your planes, making them more and more advanced. You don’t have to donate, but some extra money can help you to progress way faster. If you choose to buy the gold membership, it will speed up all your planes, increase their profit, give you a discount in the plane shop, and more.

Still, you can use the in-game currency, aka gems, to make improvements. And the more money your planes make, the more opportunities for growth you get.

When building your fleet, you can compete with other players all around the globe using the tournament mode. Whether you’re playing with other people or just merging your planes, you’d better stick to some strategy. You have a limited number of parking lots, and when you can expand your parking apron, it takes some time and efforts.

Controls 5/5

If we’re talking the controls of Merge Plane, they are rather simple and easy to learn – it’s an idle game after all. I believe you won’t have any problems getting used to them, so in a little while, you will be able to focus on the strategy. The big plus for me is that you don’t have to tap like crazy – your planes make money all by themselves.

Difficulty 4/5

To succeed in this game, you have to be very patient, especially if you’re not willing to pay real money. New planes are ridiculously expensive. I’m not the one to spend my hard-earned wages on idle games, so I gave up at some point. The mechanics of the game gets clear in the very beginning, and then it’s just a matter of patience and perseverance.

Conclusion

To me, Merge Plane is a step forward compared with idle games based on just tapping. Here, you have to figure out the best strategy and stick to it to make your plane empire even richer and bigger. It’s a cool game to have some fun, but I don’t think it’s worth spending real money on it.
