Gachaverse: Anime Dress Up RPG

Gachaverse: Anime Dress Up RPG

Review

If you’re a fan of the Gacha Studio game, you definitely should try out this new game by Lumine which is kind of a sequel. New characters, the advanced customization, and various mode are waiting for you. The game is in early access so far, but it’s already proved to be just awesome!

Graphics and Sound 4/5

The graphics are colorful and rather elaborate – just like it should be in the anime game like this. In Gachaverse, you have way more opportunities when it comes to customization compared with Gacha Studio. They added new clothes, hairstyles, and weapons. You can even choose the eye color of your character.

Speaking of characters – there are a few familiar units, but most of them are new. Here you have lots of options to explore – take Harridan Raven or Sovetskiy Soyuz, for instance. Yeah, you heard me right – there is a character named Sovetskiy Soyuz. And that’s just the beginning :)

The only thing is, there is not so much choice for male characters. Yes, girls do tend to have more clothes in real life, but if we’re talking the anime universe (I’m sorry, Gachaverse), I guess guys should have more options.

Story Plot 4/5

In five years, much has changed in Gacha world. It has expanded throughout the universe, and now it’s facing a new challenge. A new Gacha Summoner is trying to invade the kingdom, and you’re here to restore peace and order.

So far, the game is in early release, so we basically only get to explore the new characters. But Lumine promises to add RPG battle system that will unravel the strengths and the weaknesses of the units. The raid, tower, challenge, survival, and even more modes are to come, so we can but hope that they are worth waiting.

As for now, the Studio and Skit Maker modes are already available. They let you create some scenes with your customized characters and share them with your friends. Choose from many different poses and enter some text bubbles for them to chat. You can place your unit wherever you want to in the scene, and there are some backgrounds to choose from, too. Personally, I like to play out Beyonce or Katy Perry videos with my characters. It’s so much fun :)

Controls 5/5

I don’t have much to say here – so far, the controls are just fine. Since the battle mode isn’t available yet, it’s hard to tell whether it would be convenient or not. I haven’t had any problems with controls in Gacha Studio, so I hope they will be comfortable and easy in the sequel as well.

Difficulty 5/5

Then again, I have no problems choosing the outfit for my characters. The only thing is, exploring more than a hundred new units will definitely take some time since all of them has their unique stories and traits. But as a huge anime fan, I like spending some leisure time with them, even if it’s Sovetskiy Soyuz or Harridan Raven :)

Conclusion

I have to say, Gachaverse looks very promising to me. For now, we can only customize the characters, play with them, and have fun sharing the scenes with the friends. But I hope that the battle mode will be available soon, and the Gachaverse game will profile itself in all her glory.
