Top 10 Upcoming Games for Your Android

Today, smartphones have reached such a level that they are in many cases on par with laptops and desktop computers. Mobile devices have become truly versatile and allow you to perform a wide range of resource-intensive tasks.

2018 was rich for new cool games. Asphalt 9: Legends, PUBG Mobile, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and Alto Odyssey have shown that the gaming industry is not standing still and is confidently moving along the path of improvement. All major game conferences have already taken place. Here is the list of 10 new favorites for 2019.

Stardew Valley

In 2019, Stardew Valley, a popular farmer life simulator, will get to Android, but Apple’s owners are more fortunate – the game can already be downloaded from the App Store (released October 24, 2018). However, it costs 8 dollars.

In the game, you inherit the old village house of your grandfather, in which you move to continue his work, namely, managing the farm, fishing, killing monsters, building houses, and getting entertained the way you cannot when living in the city. There is a wonderful world of fauna and flora, which changes as there are four seasons in the game.

The creator of the game, Eric Baron, promises that Stardew Valley will appear on Android very soon, but there is still no information about the release date and its price. According to rumors, the Android version can be free but will include in-app purchases.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades

In June last year, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls: Blades – a large-scale mobile RPG in the world of Scrolls from a first person. In September, the game was once again shown at the presentation of the new iPhone, where Blades graphics looked amazing – realistic lighting, detailed textures, character and weapon models, vigorous gameplay, and familiar interface elements.

In TES Blades you will be allowed to create your own city, fight in arenas, and visit friends. The game was supposed to be released before the end of the autumn of 2018, but the premiere was postponed to March 31, 2019. The game will be free but with an internal store for real.

The game will include a simplified character, the building of a city, and two regions for research – a castle and forest.

According to marketing materials, The Elder Scrolls: Blades will include an advanced combat system, while the basic mechanics of the game will rotate around doing the action with your fingers at the right time to attack or shield defense. There will also be a couple of special attacks, activated by clicking on the icon when it is filled.

One of the really interesting features for such a game will be the ability to play in the portrait mode.

H1Z1: King of the Kill

Post-apocalyptic royal battle, H1Z1, will also come out on mobile phones. The game is not as popular as its competitors such as PUBG and Fortnite, but it is free and has millions of fans. Therefore, it has high chances of becoming one of the most popular games on Android this year.

H1Z1: King of the Kill came into being when its authors abandoned the idea of making a high-budget and conditionally free survival simulator H1Z1. Based on the existing developments, they made two independent games in the same genre, which they decided to sell separately.

King of the Kill is a rethought Battle Royale mode from the original H1Z1 version. The “Battle of the King” and “The Hunger Games” films served as a source of inspiration for the game.

In the game, the participants on parachutes land on a huge territory. They do not have any equipment, and each one is for himself since only one can become a winner. If you die, the game is over. Knowing this harsh rule, after landing, the fighters immediately flee in different directions and begin to look for weapons to eliminate competitors.

Bad North

Bad North is a mix of strategy and tactical game, which is already available on most of the platforms, and will be out on Android this year as well.

In the game, you will need to manage detachments of troops on the islands, which are generated randomly, pumping units and trying to bring peace to these lands.

In Bad North, the game environment will adapt to the gameplay. Initially, everything will start nicely and harmlessly, you will see a peaceful island, which, later, will be filled with enemy troops. Next, you will see a lot of defeated soldiers and broken ships. Morality also plays an important role in the game – those soldiers whom you can cheer up will be more active on the battlefield, inflicting significantly more damage. Such an army cannot be stopped, which cannot be said about intimidated soldiers who can retreat at any moment.

Hamsterdam

The creator of Guns of Icarus, Studio Muse Games, delivered its new project Hamsterdam – an arcade action game. The protagonist of the game is a hamster.

This city needs a new hero who will make a revolution and begin to bring justice. Only a mighty hamster who mastered the martial art of ancient hamsters can cope with this task. He must defeat the gangs of rodents in order to save his own grandfather and other hamsters from imprisonment.

The game is expected to be released in March, but the demo version is already available.

Diablo Immortal

At BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard announced a multi-user Diablo Immortal for smartphones, the story of which will take place between Diablo II: Lords of Destruction and Diablo III. The game is developed by the NetEase Games studio, but Blizzard also takes part in the production.

At the start, there will be six classes in Diablo Immortal – a barbarian, a monk, a magician, a crusader, a demon hunter, and a necromancer – but their number will expand over time. Each class will receive 12 skills, five of which can be screened by on-screen buttons. There will be nine locations and a huge city, in which players will be able to communicate with each other. The release date was not yet announced.

Impossible Bottles

Impossible Bottles is a rhythm game that invites you to become an inventor who wants to discover an endless source of energy.

To get the energy source, you need to power robots by firing electricity streams in sync with the music. When doing this, you have to be very careful because even the slightest mistake can result in a global blackout and destroy all the robots.

According to the official announcement, the game will be released in summer 2019. There is no news on whether the game will be free-to-play or not.

Levelhead

The Butterscotch Shenanigans studio announced that Levelhead, a creative platformer, will be released on Android.

Levelhead is a creative platform game that can be played by up to four people. The features of Levelhead specify responsive and fun platforming. You will take over the control of the delivery robot GR-18, which you will use to go through an infinite number of levels created by players.

You can create your own levels in the workshop as well – for this, there are more than 60 elements, including enemies, dangers, paths, switches, secrets, amplifiers, and even alternative modes. You can subscribe to the users you like and follow their content in a customizable feed.

Project Cars GO

Popular racing simulator Project Cars is going to conquer the mobile market in 2019 as well. Gamevil and Slightly Mad studios are working on Project Cars GO – they promise to release brand new driving experience with hundreds of car models, lots of tracks, detailed graphics, and control settings.

Project Cars GO is a mobile version of the Project Car by Slightly Mad Studios and Gamevil, which debuted on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2015.

The creators of Project Cars GO promise a wide choice of licensed cars and opportunities for their improvement and customization. They also assure that the mobile game will be able to give the same emotions and impressions.

Project Cars GO will give users the opportunity to get back in the driver’s seat and feel the adrenaline rush in the racing competition. The automobile racing genre has a large fan base, and all of them will soon be able to press the gas pedal to the floor and smell the burning rubber.

Payday: Crime War

Overkill Software’s Payday, a first-person shooter, will receive a mobile version called PayDay: Crime War.

The mobile game will allow players to fully enjoy the first-person shootout in 4x4 player mode. It will be possible to play both on the side of justice and for the criminals.

After the failure of Overkillʼs The Walking Dead, the credibility of the Swedes from Overkill Software has shaken. To fix the situation, they decided to announce the mobile version of their popular shooter Payday. The authors promise familiar gameplay with the division into robbers and special forces (up to four people will play for each team), improved weapons, cosmetic items, and leveling skills.

Judging by the trailer, you can expect to see the same old Payday only now on your Android device. The release date has not been announced yet, but the closed beta test is already underway.
